Each of our 19 therapy horses needs three tons of hay per year to remain fit and well fed. $750 provides hay for one horse for a year.
Help keep our senior horses healthy! We use one bag of Equine Senior every week. $25 buys one bag; $100 provides a month’s worth of Equine Senior.
A donation of $50 provides one soft-padded leather halter for a therapy horse.
Horses, like humans, need lots of TLC. $75 provides necessary items such as fly masks and grooming tools. $150 provides herd health supplies such as wormers, salt blocks and veterinary goods.
Absorbent pine shavings keep our horse stalls fresh, clean and comfortable. We need at least 100 bags a year for our herd of 19 horses. A $25 donation provides two bags; a generous $1,250 donation would keep us in wood shavings for a year!
We need two more loafing sheds for our growing horse herd! Costs total $1,750 per shed for materials and labor. Our horses live out-of-doors, which is ideal for older horses. They stay active longer, maintain better health, and benefit socially and mentally when they can interact as a herd. Loafing sheds provide shade in summer as well as dry places during rain and snow. Your donations will put two new sheds in place this spring!
The horses are the pillars of our programs and having the perfect saddle fit is critical to supporting their work here. A donation of $210 provides a new Mattes saddle pad. We need 6 new pads to replace some of our old, worn ones!
A donation of $500 will help us purchase one, much-needed new western saddle with an 18”-19” seat to accommodate our larger riders.
To serve more clients, we need more horses! And we need new fencing—about $5,000 worth—to create paddocks for our growing herd. Donations in any amounts will help us get fencing in place as quickly as possible.
