THERAPEUTIC RIDING

Our therapeutic riding program integrates the teaching of riding skills with therapeutic activities designed specifically for the individual rider. One hour lessons include grooming and tacking the horse with various levels of assistance and a riding lesson incorporating activities that address physical, cognitive, emotional and educational needs of the rider. HRTRC offers five 8-week riding sessions each year, with small group and private lessons scheduled Monday through Saturday.

Tuition for an eight week therapeutic riding session is $175 with an insurance fee of $10. Full or partial scholarships and payment programs may be available. Session dates can be found on the calendar of events. Once applications are received, our staff will invite you to visit the facility and meet the horses while getting to know you and your individual needs. Classes are assigned soon after the visit.
