Volunteers make up a tremendous part of the Healing Reins family. Over 150 Lesson volunteers are needed to assist riders in classes each week. Classes are offered 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday, so there are opportunities to choose a day and time that best fits your schedule. Long term commitments are always valued since experienced class volunteers provide stability and a sense of community, familiarity with riders' goals and needs, and proficiency with horses and tack. We also offer many important non-class volunteer opportunities.

If you would like to take the next step toward becoming a Healing Reins volunteer, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Darcy Justice, at darcyj@healingreins.org or 541-382-9410 ext. 4. After confirming your Orientation reservation, you will be asked to complete a Volunteer Application Packet and submit via email. Orientation dates are posted on our calendar.

Minor children volunteers (ages 14 and up) must have parental signature on the Volunteer Application Packet.  In order to ensure a safe and secure environment for all parties, a $10 background check is required for all volunteers ages 18 and up.  The volunteer coordinator will discuss this further with you during the registration process.  We look forward to meeting you!
